Hi Tzvi, thank you for a great article. I think you have perfectly described the state of the market and shown some very good insight. I would like to say ‘watch out’ you traditional eye retailers, however if they are not wearing glasses it may be lost on them.

You raise a good point. Anecdotally this has happened to me. However when I offered to pay the retailer wouldn’t take any money.
Those who would however, I would gladly pay.
More importantly however, why is that online shopper any different than a customer who bought from a competing bricks and mortar store? Shouldn’t their “loyalty” be questioned to the same degree?
As the lines separating eCommerce and bricks and mortar become increasingly faded, from the consumers perspective their is no difference between the two. Shopping is shopping.
From an outsiders perspective, the only difference between B&R and eCommerce is the operational efficiencies that allow Online Retail to compete on price.
